Default Mesmer/Elementist Build?

I have a level 22 actually ME/E build... The skills I use are as follows

Empathy
Shattered Delusions
Etherfeast
Energy Tap
Energy Burn
FireBall
Phoenix
Meteor

My attribute points are as follows

Fast Casting 9
Domination 12
Inspiration 9
Fire Magic 9

With this build, you are pretty well rounded, and you can absolutly drain the energy out of the enemy, and then launch phoenix and meteor into a group of enemy and destroy a few of them. Ive used this build from day 1, and it works like a charm.

It took me a long while to master how a mesmor/elementist works, and how you use them both together to destroy the enemy.
Hope this helps, and if you have questions , you can email me at [email protected]

I'm sure you mean you have a level 20 Me/El, since that is the level cap.

It's for Pvlevel22s.

Damage at Fire Magic 9 isn't really ideal, but I suppose it would do. You might want to concentrate on ONE aspect instead of two.

I see a high emphasis on damage spells here, with a touch of energy sapping.

Allow me to offer some advice.

If you want to deal damage effectively, you need to make your damage dealing efficient so you have high DPS (damage per second) and high sustainability with dealing damage (making sure you have enough energy to continually pump out damage)

With that being said, Domination isn't the way to go for straight damage. I suggest dropping your Domination spells/attributes altogether, pump your Fire Magic up to 12, get some form(s) of energy management (most likely an elite) so you could spam your damage spells and then get your fast casting up to a nice high level so you don't have to wait 5 years to get your spells off.

Your current fire spells are OK - I'd add a short cooldown spell like Immolate so it gives you more to do between Fireballs. If this is for PvE use stuff that continually hits in an AoE; if this is for PvP get a spell that doesn't rely on people standing in the AoE for it to be effective (exception: meteor shower).

Well, yes, level 20, but I have reached level up status twice since level 20, so in reality, its level 22
As for PVP or PVE? I have never played PvP, so it is put to use for PVE only right now.

Keure, thanks a bunch for your advice.. I will certainly give it a try. Being only played this game for 2 weeks, Im still learning. I had asked about 10 days ago for some help with my Me/E build, but nobody replied.. Anyways,
I have captured 3 elite skills from bosses now, but not sure about them. 1 is Mantra of Recovery, which allows all my skills to recharge 50% faster, but it doesnt seem to work too well. The other one is a blinding spell, which lasts 13 sec.. and the last one I just got last night, I dont remember what it is.
As for Domination points, I believe I use that for sucking the energy life out of the enemy once the fire damage hits.. Will I be able to use those still if I get rid of the attribute points ? If not, no problem, Im going to try what you said. And about the fire damage, it takes quite a while to wait until they are charged back up again, and while they are recharging, that is when I use the energy draining skills. Energy tap, Energy burn, and Etherfeast.....
Anyways, so I will pump up fire to 12, but where should fast casting be? And what should inspiration be put at ? Or should I change that attribute also ?
Any further help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Depends on where you're at really.. on ring of fire for example..
Get some interrupts, power block is especially nice and Cry of frustration, besides that energy draining spells, no need for the whole Elementalist part there.

And just say lvl 20 it's a lot easier.. else it just gets confusing besides you don't gain a level up status you gain a skillpoint, and a skillpoint is not the same as gaining a lvl (thus gaining HP and attribute points)

You know, I got to thinking about that. It really DOES matter where you are and what area you are in. Im at the Ring of Fire right now.... Im not so sure that the fire damage would do so much good here. However, I do alot of farming in other areas such as divinity coast, beetletun, and other areas.
I think I am finally starting to understand this game
Off topic for a sec, I found a Monk Rune Of SUPERIOR Healing the other day, and sold it for 13k. Its the rarest item I have found in my few weeks playing this game Anyways, thanks for all the advice... Much appreciated
